Jane is a native Texan, born and raised in Hughes Springs, TX, where she grew up loving to run and was often known to beat the boys at the school field days. Throughout middle school and high school, she ran the 400m, 800m, and was the anchor on the 4x400m relay. Jane was a regional qualifier in the 800m all 4 years of high school, and qualified for the 2A State meet in the 800m her Senior year. After high school, she attended Angelo State University on track scholarship where ran both cross country and track. She ran the 800/1500 her freshman year, and then switched to 400m hurdles and heptathlon. Jane and her husband Stefan have lived in Boerne with their 2 boys, Ben and Noah, since 2007. As co-founder of the HCC, she has found a real passion for coaching youth track and field, and looks forward to expanding the program in the Texas Hill Country. Jane is a Registered Nurse and works as a hospice nurse for Embrace Hospice. Her primary role for the club is administrative, as well as high jump, and multi-event coach.
